Lakers, Lady Lakers down district foe on the road

ONLINE UPDATE-Jan. 10

The Russell County Lakers and Lady Lakers both defeated district rival Cumberland County on Friday night in Burkesville to improve on their extremely successful seasons.

The Lakers won by a score of 75-67 and improved to 14-1 on the season while the Lady Lakers came back from an early deficit to win 67-61. The Lady Lakers improved to 10-2 on the season.

US 127 lane closure at Wolf Creek Dam
ONLINE UPDATE-Jan. 9
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s District Eight office announced Friday that the construction operation of the Wolf Creek Dam will have one lane closure with reduced speed beginning Monday, January 12.
